'If It's Football, It's Vital'

October Preview

Coventry City are straight into action in October with a midweek away trip to Ninian Park, home of Cardiff City.

Chris Coleman has made his Sky Blues hard to beat, a quality that will be severely tested in South Wales.

Saturday brings a second live TV game of the season at the Ricoh Arena.

Southampton are the visitors and although struggling at the foot of the table will have been boosted by their win at Doncaster.

Things take a break for internationals after which City get back down to some hard work with four games in ten days.

League leaders Wolves at Molineux, Burnley and Derby at home and a quick reverse fixture with Southampton will take the Sky Blues up to fourteen games played, almost a third of the Championship season.
