City target Gerrard set for January offers
Walsall centre-half Anthony Gerrard will be the subject of a third offer from Southampton in January according to last weekend's Sunday Mercury newspaper.
Two offers from the Saints were turned down before the closure of the transfer window, prompting Gerrard to hand in a transfer request.
Coventry City have also been linked with the player, perhaps due to the presence of his former team-mates Daniel Fox and Scott Dann in the Sky Blues' line-up.
"He`s very commanding and a good, no-nonsense defender who won`t take long to settle in because he`s outgoing and a real character,' said Fox of the 22-year-old recently.
