'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ecuador star set for immediate Sky Blues debut

Free agent defender Ulises de la Cruz could make his Coventry City debut as early as Saturday after linking up with the Sky Blues for training.

'Ulises is not really on trial because we know all about him,' Chris Coleman told the Coventry Evening Telegraph.

'We have obviously got a problem at right-back, so we invited him in for training and we will see how he is and hopefully have a chat with him this week to see if we can do something short term and see how that goes.

'We can take an unattached player on a short-term deal and hopefully we can have him in place for Saturday.'
