'If It's Football, It's Vital'

League Two star in demand

Chester City's highly-rated midfielder Damien Mozika has been the subject of interest from an unnamed Championship club in recent days.

The 21-year-old only arrived at the Deva Stadium in the summer but has already caught the eye.

Chairman Stephen Vaughan told the Chester Chronicle: 'The enquiry came from a Championship club who wanted to take Damien initially on loan, with a view to a permanent transfer.

'Quite frankly that sort of deal doesn't appeal to us. We want Damien to be a part of our immediate future.

'If the club came back early in the New Year with a firm proposal, then we would talk to them again, but we aren't interested in a loan arrangement.'
