Coventry City potential loan targets - midfielders

The loan window opens next week for Football League clubs and players from the top-flight are sure to be sought after in the Championship as the season begins to take shape.

Coventry City will be in the market for a new face or two and Vital Coventry looks here at potential signings.

The Sky Blues have lacked width at times during the first few games of the season and may look to address that over the next few weeks.

Middlesbrough winger Adam Johnson is likely to be the most sought-after player of the loan window.

Up to a dozen Championship clubs are thought to have asked about the availability of the England Under-21 international.

Manchester United and Arsenal players are always in demand for loan deals and both Darron Gibson of the Red Devils and Gunners starlet Henri Lansbury have been linked with temporary exits in recent days.
