Coventry City potential loan targets - defenders

The loan window opens next week for Football League clubs and players from the top-flight are sure to be sought after in the Championship as the season begins to take shape.

Coventry City will be in the market for a new face or two and Vital Coventry looks here at potential signings.

Cover at right-back is obviously a priority for the Sky Blues and to that end Ulises De La Cruz is arriving on trial at the Ricoh Arena.

Stephen Carr, formerly of Tottenham and Newcastle, is also a free agent after leaving St James's Park and has spent the summer being linked with both Premier League and Championship clubs.

Of those players currently at clubs and possibly available for loan, Nicky Hunt looks to be firmly out of favour at Bolton Wanderers and has been linked with a move to Ipswich Town in recent weeks.

The 24-year-old is also known as a right-back but does provide versatility across the defence.

couldn't coventry take paul stalteri, because spurs certainly don't want him not the club or the fans, he better than most of the players you just listed, so do spurs a favour and sign him lmfao
