Shaw looking forward to Celtic clash

Former Coventry City manager Gordon Strachan brings the current SPL leaders to the Ricoh Arena on April 12 to mark 10 years as a Sky Blues player for the popular defender.

Shaw told BBC Sport: 'I've seen Celtic a few times and the atmosphere the fans bring to grounds is fantastic.

'But the Coventry supporters have been great at the new stadium and both sets of fans should make it a great night.'

The 37-year-old added: 'I played under Gordon and I count him as one of the best, if not the best, manager I've played under.

'But knowing how much Celtic are in demand, I didn't imagine in my wildest dreams they'd come down.

'However, having known Gordon for six years and the respect I've got for him I thought it was ideal to ask him. I just thought 'if you don't ask you don't get' so I phoned him up and he said no problem.'
