City stars up for Blades clash

The Sky Blues could have a major say in the Championship promotion race with home games against second-placed Sheffield United and third-placed Leeds United over the next two weekends.

The Blades have won just one of their last six games to revive the hopes of those teams chasing them for an automatic promotion spot but Coventry defender Ady Williams knows they will provide very tough opposition.

He told the club website: 'It'll be a difficult game because they've got some good players and they've strengthened their squad.

'They've got Ade Akinbiyi, Danny Webber, Geoff Horsfield on loan, Neil Shipperley and Steve Kabba so they've got options going forward.

'They have an abundance of strikers who can come off the bench and change things.'

The Sky Blues though are unbeaten in 10 games at the Ricoh Arena and striker Dele Adebola, a target for Sheffield United earlier in the season, said: 'The onus is on them because Sheffield United are now desperate for points.

'Our home form has been really good recently and we think there are points there for us.

'Hopefully we can get a good result and I do feel quietly confident.'

Neil Warnock made a move in the transfer market this week, signing Chris Lucketti on loan from Preston North End.

The experienced centre-half has been drafted in after Leigh Bromby was ruled out for the season and Warnock told his club's website: 'Chris's involvement here couldn't have come at a better time.

'He knows he will have to fight for his place, but he's never been a shirker.

'I am always on the lookout for leaders and they don't come much bigger than Chris.'

Match Odds:

City: 13/8

Draw: 21/10

Sheffield Utd: 11/8

You could get a draw as your at home. Good side they are though.
