Coventry to test Owls resolve with defender bid

Coventry City are preparing a deadline bid for highly-rated Sheffield Wednesday defender Richard Wood.

The Sheffield Star suggests that the Sky Blues will look to do a deal before the deadline and that Birmingham City and Crystal Palace are also keen.

Wednesday see 23-year-old Wood as one of their key men but with a takeover of the club yet to be resolved, they may be swayed by a big-money offer.

In your dreams, why would woody want to go to a club like yours, when he's at a big club now.he's a wednesday fan, captain, and if the takeover happens soon,he might be playing premiership football with us, it would'nt make sense,up the owls!

'If the takeover happens' How long have you been saying that? You think him being a Wednesday fan counts for anything these days? If a club comes in with the right price he will go, end of.
