'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Respect works both ways

After watching referee Phil Dowd enrage the home players and fans at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday, regular Vital Coventry contributor CCFCKS had this to say;

'With the FA pushing this new Respect the Ref this season do they not think it will work better if they punish refs when they get it wrong?

'You can not expect players to keep their mouth shut if they are going to get away with it when they get it wrong.'

The referee's performance at the Ricoh on Saturday was poor. I watched him through binoculars and he was arrogant and dismissive towards the players and you can understand why those people who job depends on the 'dowds' of this world you can understand why they get frustrated.
