Coventry City transfer talk - week 10

Another week, another done deal as the Sky Blues land Freddy Eastwood from Wolves after months of trying. There is still time for more signings though and the rumour mill is continuing to turn.

David Bell - The midfielder started the week talking of a promotion challenge being mounted by Luton Town but his future may lie elsewhere after the huge points penalty imposed on the Hatters after that.

Dean Leacock - With a central defender very much on Chris Coleman's radar, the Derby County man has again been linked with a move to join the club where he previously endured an unimpressive loan spell.

Glenn Loovens - Cardiff City have turned down bids from two Championship clubs for the Dutchman, one of which is reported to have come from the Ricoh Arena.

Clinton Morrison - City say they are still talking to the Ireland international despite reports that he wants to stay in the London area after leaving Crystal Palace.

Richard Wood - Reports of a bid from Coventry for the Sheffield Wednesday centre-half have been denied at both ends of the deal. Wood was recently appointed as Owls' club captain for the forthcoming season and if he is going anywhere it could be to the Premier League as Everton have been linked with a move.

Stephen Wright - The former Liverpool and Sunderland man remains on trial and is looking to be the man to solve City's problem right-back slot.

Joyous July oh month of rumour. Possibly the best time to get one over on desperate agents too.
