Championship clubs search for their strike star

Striker always attract the biggest interest in the transfer gossip columns and this summer in the Championship has been no different.

Managers know full well that having a player such as Kevin Philips in your squad is key to mounting a promotion challenge and a host of clubs have already made moves to sign new forwards.

Phillips himself has stayed in the Championship with a move to Birmingham while the Sky Blues finally landed Freddy Eastwood on Friday.

Barnsley, Burnley, Derby County and Nottingham Forest have all spent decent money on men they hope will get 20+ goals next season and it's likely that more clubs will be beefing up their attacking options before the deadline.
