'If It's Football, It's Vital'

City promise - and deliver!

Coventry City chairman Ray Ranson is right to talk up the signing of Freddy Eastwood as evidence that the club is moving in the right direction.

The striker may be a hit, he may be a miss but the Sky Blues have signed another player of the right age and who is hungry to impress.

Ranson told the club's website: 'He fits the bill in terms of being a quality player at the right age and will be the fourth signing we have made.

'We told our supporters that we would be strengthening the squad, and hopefully this is further evidence that we are doing just that.'

No-one is expecting miracles this season but after last summer's takeover saga and more empty promises, it is good to see the people at the top making good on the things they have been saying.
