'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Coventry City transfer talk - week 7

The Sky Blues have clicked into gear in the transfer market this week, signing two new players to add to the earlier capture of Guillaume Beuzelin.

David Bell - The Sky Blues have made an offer for the Luton midfielder and left the ball firmly in the Hatters' court. Chairman Ray Ranson confirmed recently that an increased bid will not be forthcoming.

Carlos Bocanegra - 'Totally untrue! Chris (Coleman) has never once mentioned his name to me,' was Ranson's to-the-point summing up of a link with the USA international recently.

Neil Eardley - Highly-rated and versatile, Oldham Athletic's 19-year-old Wales international has been linked with City this summer.

Freddy Eastwood - Reports linking City with the Wolves striker have resurfaced this week although Cardiff currently seems to be the player's likely destination.

Anthony Gerrard - The young Walsall player could follow in the footsteps of former team-mates Dan Fox and Scott Dann according to recent reports.

Aron Gunnarsson - Done deal! The Iceland international completed his move to the Ricoh Arena at the beginning of the week.

Gary Roberts - City are among a number of clubs said to be keen on the Crewe Alexandra youngster.

Kieran Westwood- Done deal! Chris Coleman was delighted to capture the Carlisle United goalkeeper for a £750,000 fee earlier in the week. 'Pound for pound he is potentially one of the best goalkeepers outside the Premiership and I am delighted we have got him,' the City boss told the club website.
