International flavour grows in Championship

International flavour grows in Championship

The increasing affluence of the Championship in comparison to most other leagues (aside from the Premier League) is reflected in the kind of players being linked with moves to CCC clubs.

Jan Koller is reportedly a target for Birmingham with the Blues also keen on Austrian international Jurgen Samuel in addition to Barnsley.

Bristol City want Emad Meteb, an Egyptian striker while Watford have been linked with Inverness & Romania star Marius Niculae.

And then there's QPR of course. Iain Dowie's new club also want Niculae and have also been mentioned as a potential destination for Real Madrid starlet Daniel Parejo.

The Sky Blues have made their own overseas signing already, snapping up Aron Gunnarsson from AZ Alkmaar.
