City to lose key man to Chelsea?

Chris Coleman's right-hand man, Coventry City assistant manager Steve Kean, is being linked with a role as part of Luiz Felipe Scolari's new backroom team at Chelsea.

The link comes with Kean's ability to speak Portuguese, learned while a player at Coimbra.

If the reports are true it would represent a great opportunity for Kean but a blow to Coleman, with the pair having worked together at Fulham and Real Sociedad.

"I leave a lot of the coaching to Steve but I do get involved," said Coleman at the time of his appointment at the Ricoh Arena.

"I stand at the side and watch and observe.

"I find it easier to analyse things from the outside rather than in the middle of a coaching session.

It actually looks like it has some truth behind it. I am sure Scholari will want to appoint a man who knows the continetal way of playing. Also someone who can get over his way of thinking to players by translating for Scholari.
