AZ Alkmaar confirm Coventry City deal

The official AZ Alkmaar website confirmed on Thursday that they have reached agreement with Coventry City over the transfer of Icelandic midfielder Aron Gunnarsson.

The Sky Blues will now talk terms with the 19-year-old from Iceland who has a year left on his contract with the Dutch club.

Gunnarsson has come through the ranks of the Young AZ squad but also broke into the first team last season.

AZ are a classy Dutch side who have been playing regularly in Europe in recent seasons. You could have yourself a decent youngster.
