Coventry City transfer talk - week 4

Approaching the time when deals will start to be done and Coventry City continue to be linked with a host of players.

David Bell - The Sky Blues have made an offer for the Luton midfielder and left the ball firmly in the Hatters' court. Chairman Ray Ranson confirmed this week that an increased bid will not be forthcoming.

Guillaume Beuzelin - A deal to sign the playmaker is 'on-going'.

Carlos Bocanegra - 'Totally untrue! Chris (Coleman) has never once mentioned his name to me,' was Ranson's to-the-point summing up of a link with the USA international this week.

Freddy Eastwood - The Sky Blues remain confident of sealing a deal for the Wolves striker although former boss Iain Dowie could scupper that if reports of interest from QPR are true.

Dean Leacock - The link with the former Sky Blues loanee has resurfaced this week. Leacock is under contract at Derby but the Rams' dismal Premier League season means all of their players are potentially up for grabs.

Kasper Schmeichel - The Dane is back from Manchester City's pre-season tour but City are also looking at one or two other goalkeepers before making their move.
