Ireland call for Best

Coventry City forward Leon Best has been showing in recent weeks why former manager Iain Dowie was so keen to sign him in the summer and has been rewarded with a call-up to the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad for their European qualifier against Montenegro on 25 March.

Boss Don Givens said: "We have had some very tough games over this campaign but the performances have been very good.

'Twice against England we played excellent football, while we were very unfortunate to lose to Montenegro when we played over there last November.

'We have been playing well but the ball hasn`t been going in the back of the net for us. That is something that we are hoping to rectify on March 25th.'
