'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Match reaction

Sheffield United gained a vital three points on Tuesday night at the expense of the Sky Blues and saw striker Billy Sharp net at last following a difficult first season back at Bramall Lane.

'All credit to Billy - he's a Blade through and through so I can only imagine the pressure he was under,' said manager Kevin Blackwell.

'He's worked his socks off and even when things haven't been going right for him he's shown great bravery by continually getting in the box.'

Opposite number Chris Coleman felt the penalties awarded to both sides were 'soft' but took heart from his team's performance.

'We have to get things right away from home but this display was worlds away from the second half at Scunthorpe.'
