'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Missed chances cost battling City

Coventry City turned in another much improved display on Tuesday night but went down to a 2-1 defeat at Sheffield United.

The Sky Blues controlled much of the game but were denied by Paddy Kenny in the Blades goal and paid the price as Billy Sharp opened the scoring.

Gary Speed then netted on the rebound from a saved penalty before Elliott Ward pulled one back, also from the spot.

Hi, I am a Wednesday supporter living in Coventry... I listened to the commentary on this game last night, and I want to say how nice it was that everyone observed the minute's silence impeccably. :) PS - Roll on Saturday! Though Geoff did sometimes think we were playing your lot last night!!

Played well last night and deserved something. Save by Paddy Kenny just at half-time was superb.
