Van der Sar injury to halt deal?

Van der Sar injury to halt deal?

Monday's newspapers suggest Coventry had a deal lined up to sign goalkeeper Ben Foster on loan from Manchester United before the weekend's goalkeeping calamities at Old Trafford.

Number one Edwin Van der Sar went off injured at half-time against Portsmouth and then substitute Tomasz Kuszczak was sent off.

That means Foster, just back from a serious injury, may be needed for United's title run-in.

Heidar Helguson, Jimmy Bullard and Stephen Pearson are other players linked with City over the weekend.

Foster is a top quality keeper, but with Van Der Sar injured and Kuzsack banned, might be hard to get him.

Yes it looks unlikely now. I'm happy enough for Marshall to carry on, not sure about Konstantopolous though.
