'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A nice gesture from Manchester Utd

Coventry Sphinx will prepare for the big weekend FA Vase clash against Kirkham & Wesham at the Carrington training ground of Manchester United.

'It's another aspect of the game we have to look forward to,' manager Paul Charnley told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire.

The Sphinx, based in the Midland Football Alliance, prepared for an earlier tie at West Ham and will be looking for a similar boost to that received by Havant & Waterlooville when they used United's training facilities ahead of their FA Cup tie against Liverpool.

Kirkham have been in excellent form themselves ahead of the quarter-final, recently going on a 13-game winning run.
