Cole set to face City

Burnley manager Owen Coyle hopes to have Andrew Cole and Ade Akinbiyi available for Tuesday night's game against Coventry City.

The in-form strikers missed Saturday's game at Plymouth due to injury and illness respectively.

'Andrew Cole we'll monitor and I'd hope that he'll be involved certainly in the 16,' said Coyle.

Cole has netted plenty of times against the Sky Blues in the past (when he was still known as Andy), for both Newcastle and Manchester United, and scored a hat-trick in his last appearance for Burnley, who remain the thick of the hunt for play-off places.

'Every game in this Championship's very important,' added Coyle.

'But this is the game in hand we've got over a few teams.

'Every game in the Championship is always a tough game but it's an opportunity for us to go and get three points, and if we brush up on the little individual errors then I'll settle for a similar performance but a better result.'

Can the 'new' Sky Blues keep another clean sheet? The defence was much better against some tricky strikers on Saturday.
