FA Cup: Kiely remembers '87

Former Sky Blues' youngster Dean Kiely is looking forward to Saturday's FA Cup clash with current club West Bromwich Albion.

"I signed as an apprentice at 16 and signed as a pro` for Coventry in October 87, the season after they won the cup," he told the Express and Star.

"We had a sweepstake at Lilleshall at the National School and I won 20 on Clive Allen scoring the first goal and then Coventry went onto win so it was a happy day all-round.'

West Brom's main focus is on getting promoted back to the Premier League but Kiely added: "I am up for the cup.

'I don`t think in my career I have prioritised games and think 'one is a good game, one I`m not bothered about.` I am up for everything.'
